More than seeing 20/20

Vision plays a key role in how children learn, read, play and interact with the world around them. While clear eyesight is important, vision is much more than seeing 20/20. Children need their eyes to work together to focus efficiently, track words across a page and process the visual information comfortably.

Some children may need more than glasses to help with difficulties involving eye teaming, tracking and visual processing. Vision therapy can address with issues such as convergence insufficiency and binocular or eye movement disorders.

If your child struggles with reading, complains of eye strain or headaches when reading or seems to be working harder than expected on visual tasks, an eye exam is good place to start.
